I'm sure you're frostbitten enough to understand that your Honda sucks. I'm returning your memories from the military service to you, but I'll keep your photo as a memory. You should also know that I always will remember a new life as a clone.

I watched "A Knight's Tale" yesterday and it dawned on me that it's a first Heath Ledger movie I watched ever since he died. :(

And I absolutely looove this movie... it's so delightfully wrong historically and so awsomly funny in everything else one just can't help but love it!

Paul Bettany as Chauncer is just great, and yeeey Alan Tudyk as Wash Wat, I love that guy soooo much!

One of my most favorite scenes:
Wat: Say something about her breasts.
Roland: Yeah, you miss her breasts.
William: Her breasts.
Chaucer: Ye... yes, you... you could, umm... umm... but I... I would tend to look above her breasts, William.
William: Well I... I miss her throat.
Chaucer: Uh, still higher really, toward the heavens.
Kate: The moon at least, her breasts were not that impressive. *snicker*

I just foud an excellent article on SyFy Portal - Shows Should Stand Up On Their Own.

Read it if you can, it's not that long. It's about new genre tv shows getting well I guess the word is, destroyed, by fans misconceptions. The author offers examples for this: The CW show "Reaper" was derided as a "Brimstone" clone, even though it only had a superficial resemblance to it. The same was true of the Fox series "New Amsterdam," which was unfavorably compared to both "Forever Knight" and "Highlander."

Also:

People seem to forget that there are very few original ideas now, seeing as western civilization has been creating stories for thousands of years. Trashing a new show simply because it has plot elements similar to an older show is just silly. The magic in any show is what they do with the plot, and how the characters are developed. Instead of looking at the possibilities, these fans tear it down for its perceived similarities to something long gone.

I gotta admit I don't think I ever did that... or at least I can't remember ever dismissing a show based on the fact that it reminded me on another show.

I finally read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. And. It's. Awsome!!! I mean not even the BBCs' miniseries do it complete justice. Mr. Darcy is just... you know... YEY! *giggles*

Speaking of the TV version, which Mr.Darcy do you like better - Colin Firth or Matthew Macfadyen? I'll go with Colin Firth coz he "was" mr. Darcy to me till about a year ago but dude how much do I love Matthew Macfadyen!!! I stopped watching Spooks when he left - ahem...this post went in a totally different direction...where was I ... Jane Austens' P&P. Awsome book. 

My sister can finally stop being ashamed of me. *g* She's been pressing telling me to read it for aaages.

Next - A. Dumas: Count Of Monte Cristo. Last time I started reading this one I couldn't finish it coz I had exams and other uni-related stuff to to, and one thing led to another... a year passed and I totally forgot about it, so hopefully this time I'll finish it.
